The 44th Annual Conference of the Finnish Political Science Association

The Conference is organised at the University of Turku on 8-9 March 2012, with the theme Explanation and Causality in Political Science Research.

 

News

  • Information on locations and some maps; rooms in which sections convene

  • On Thursday evening (March 8), there will be a reception for all Conference participants by the city of Turku at the city hall (19-20) followed by a dinner at restaurant YläBörs (20:30 onward)

  • Deadline for registering to the dinner event was February 24th but there might still be some seats left (please e-mail amkark@utu.fi)

  • The section schedules are now available! The program of the whole Conference is available here

  • Professor Richard Ned Lebow will give the keynote speech on Thursday on the topic "A Constructivist Approach to Causation"

  • On Friday, there will be a debate on the quality classification of scientific publications, with  Ilkka Niiniluoto and Heikki Patomäki (Pub3, 13:00)

  • P-Klubi, the association for students studying Political History and Political Science at the University of Turku, is organising a gathering for BA and MA students on Thursday evening
