  • Behavioral Game Theory

Project in PCRC:

Behavioral game theory utilizes data elicited from experiments on real human subjects to develop mathematical theories of strategic interaction which take into account the limited capacity of human cognition. It can be described as a subdiscipline of economics that acknowledges the limits of the human mind, and which by modifying the assumptions of rational choice theory aims at constructing a plausible description about human decision making without sacrificing the tractability and parsimony offered by neoclassical approach.
