Summer School on Bargaining Theory and Applications held in Turku

The Public Choice Research Centre had a great pleasure to host a Summer School on Bargaining Theory and Applications 15.-19.8.2011 in Turku. More than 25 students attended lectures of professors Jean-Jacques Herings, Haruo Imai, Todd R. Kaplan, Stefan Napel, Katri Sieberg, and Hannu Vartiainen. Most of the students were economists or political scientists, but mathematicians and sosiologists were also represented. We would again like to express our gratitude to instructors and students for creating a stimulating learning environment. The fact that we were able to become and stay friends despite taking bargaining experiments together tells that the general mood in the course was very good. Hopefully the enthusiasm present in Turku will help participants in their future efforts!

The Centre would like to thank the University of Turku, the Academy of Finland, and the National Graduate School of Political Studies (POLITU) for their support.
